Entspannter Tag mit ausgiebigem Frühstück in der Sonne von Jülich. Nach kurzer Fahrt durchs Rheinland dann Releaseparty & Tourabschluss für die Academies vor vollem Haus. Nebenan übrigens der beste Burgerladen der Stadt. Vielen Dank ans Bla, die Academies und die Pension “Caddolf Caddaffi”. Hoffentlich ganz bald wieder!

Tusq zum ersten Mal im KuBa zu Jülich. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, super Sound, viele alte bekannte Gesichter, Kettenfett & Trallalla. Irgendwie wars viel zu schnell vorbei. Müssen bald wiederkommen. Danke!

After a little bit more than 4 weeks at the old pilot-station next to the lighthouse on Hailuoto we´re done with the recordings for our 2nd album. Thanks to Jürgen, Susanna, Lauri, Pena, Watti-Matti, Jari, Arri and everybody else who made this possible and supported us at “Studio Marjaniemi” 13 songs were recorded and it was a very special time for us! It will take a while until we can hear the result. But we have a good feeling and are curious about the final outcome. We´ll keep you posted!

Unser erstes Konzert in Finnland und Weltpremiere der neuen Songs, die wir just in diesem Augenblick aufnehmen. Anwesend viele neu gewonnene Freunde, die uns bei den Aufnahmen auf Hailuoto unterstützt haben und bei denen wir uns mit Konzert und vielen Bieren ein wenig revanchieren können. Der beste Rockclub der Stadt macht seinem Namen alle Ehre und wir werden mit den letzten Gästen zum Zapfenstreich hinausgekehrt. Ein Riesenkompliment an Mushmouthed Talk, die mit uns gespielt haben und außerdem die Jungs und Mädels von Tulikukka für die Glowball-Performance. Kiitos Oululaisset – das war ein besonderer Abend für uns!

Our first show ever in Finland and world-premiere of the new songs, we are recording right now. In the crowd many of our new won friends that supported us with their gear and expertise in our self-built studio on Hailuoto. Now we can at least return a little favour with the show and many beers. The best rock club in town is living up to it´s name and we have a great party. Also a big up to Mushmouthed Talk who supported us and also our friends from Tulikukka for the glowball performance during the concert. Kitos Oululaisset – that was a special night for us!

Meanwhile time flies and we still have a lot to record. Main activities at the moment: guitar-recording, Lost (3rd season), Sauna and cooking. Highlight of the past weekend: Holger Lüken wins the local Karaoke-Contest at Bar Haiku with a convincing performance of “Help” from the Beatles.

Alles klar. Nach einem kleinen Ausflug über die Eis-Straße aufs Festland in die Stadt Oulu am Wochenende realisieren wir langsam, dass wir uns hier so ziemlich am Ende der Welt befinden. Wir genießen geniale Sonnenuntergänge, Spaziergänge übers zugefrorene Meer und die finnische Sauna im Anschluß an die täglichen Aufnahmesessions. Die Basic-Trax von Schlagzeug und Bass sind seit heute fertig. Ab jetzt wird geoverdubbed!

All right. After a short trip over the icestreet to the next mainland town Oulu we start to realize that we´re here at the end of the world. We enjoy amazing sunsets, walks over the frozen sea and finnish sauna after the recording sessions. The basic tracks of drum and bass are done since today and now we can start with the overdubs!

Meanwhile we are getting into the groove of the island and dive into the slowlyness of Hailuoto. Drum and bass have recorded half of the songs. it´s not much here except for some rabbits outside, tons of snow and exciting sunsets. We couldnt have chosen a better place to record. Almost like holidays.
